Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TaskyLand collects, uses, protects, and deletes data for parents, children, invited family members, and app reviewers. TaskyLand is a family task, habit, reward, and notification app designed for parent-managed child profiles.
1. Who operates TaskyLand
TaskyLand is available at taskyland.cloud. Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@taskyland.cloud. General support requests can be sent to support@taskyland.cloud.
2. Data we collect
- Parent account data: name, email address, authentication status, and account settings.
- Family workspace data: family name, adult roles, invitations, QR/link codes, and permissions.
- Child profile data: display name, age range, avatar, tasks, coins, XP, rewards, and progress.
- Task and reward data: assignments, deadlines, proof settings, review status, and transaction history.
- Proof media, if enabled by a parent: photos, audio clips, or videos submitted for task review.
- Device and technical data: platform, app version, timezone, push token, notification status, and crash/support context.
- Usage signals needed for family features, such as screen-time minutes tracked inside TaskyLand.
3. How we use data
- To provide core app features: family setup, child connection, tasks, rewards, reports, and approvals.
- To send family notifications about assignments, reminders, approvals, rewards, and safety prompts.
- To protect accounts with role-based access, permission checks, rate limits, and audit logs.
- To synchronize data across devices, recover from offline states, and provide support.
- To meet app-store review, legal, compliance, and security requirements.
4. Children and parental control
TaskyLand is parent-managed. A child does not create an independent public account. A parent creates the family, creates child profiles, chooses proof requirements, invites other adults, and can revoke child device access or delete child data.
Child mode is limited to age-appropriate task completion, avatar progress, rewards, and family notifications. Children cannot access parent account settings, billing settings, or other families.
5. Proof media and retention
- Proof media is uploaded only when a parent enables it for a task or when the child submits it for review.
- Media is used only to help the family verify task completion.
- Proof media is retained for up to 7 days by default unless a shorter retention path applies.
- Unconfirmed or orphaned uploads may be deleted after approximately 24 hours.
- Parents can request child or family data deletion at any time.
6. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal data. We share data only as needed to operate the service:
- Cloud hosting, database, storage, and backup providers.
- Apple and Google push-notification infrastructure.
- Authentication and app-store services used to verify login and distribute the app.
- Legal or security authorities only when required by applicable law.
7. Advertising and tracking
TaskyLand does not use third-party behavioral advertising in child mode. We do not sell or rent behavioral profiles. If this changes, this policy and app-store disclosures will be updated before the change is used.
8. Your choices and rights
- Access, correct, or update parent and family information.
- Delete a child profile, revoke a child device, or remove invited adults.
- Request deletion of the family account and associated data.
- Request a copy of family data when technically and legally available.
- Turn off optional permissions such as notifications, camera, microphone, or media access in device settings.
In the current parent app flow, these controls live in Parent dashboard - Settings - Data rights and deletion. The family owner can copy a family JSON export, delete the selected child data, or delete the entire family. Child and family deletion also clears related proof media according to the retention and cleanup rules above.
9. Security
We use role-based access controls, scoped family permissions, signed media links, rate limits, audit logs, secure token handling, and data-deletion procedures. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we design TaskyLand around family privacy and limited access.
10. App review and testing access
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as TaskyLand evolves. The latest version will always be available on this page with the effective date above.
